Some experiences can leave a deep imprint on us: intense introspective processes, meditative practices, pilgrimages, experiences with expanded states of consciousness (including those facilitated by entheogens or psychedelics), or significant life events with a strong emotional or spiritual impact.
Beyond the experience itself, what truly makes a difference is how it is understood, digested and integrated. Without this process, what was lived can remain confusing, idealised, difficult to sustain over time, or simply become one experience among many.
My role is to accompany you throughout this process, offering a space for reflection, care and guidance that helps you make sense of what you have experienced and translate it into meaningful, sustainable changes in your life.
What do we mean by preparation and integration?
Preparation helps create a safer and more conscious internal and external framework before going through an experience.
Integration allows you to process what you have lived, understand its impact, and decide how you want it to influence the way you live.
Preparation
Taking time to prepare allows you to approach the experience and the wider process with greater clarity and inner resources.
Some of the aspects we may work with include:
° Psychoeducation: learning about non-ordinary states of consciousness and their possible psychological effects.
° Exploring expectations: looking at ideas, fears or idealisations around the experience.
° Clarifying intentions and values: connecting with what motivates you to engage in this process.
° Developing resources: body awareness, breathing, writing, self-compassion and external sources of support.
° Risk reduction: identifying possible contraindications and reflecting on appropriate contexts and forms of support.
Integration
Integration is the process of remembering, embodying and making sense of what was lived, so that the experience does not fade away or remain disconnected from daily life.
During integration sessions, we may:
° work with challenging or destabilising experiences.
° reflect on shifts in perspective, images or new understandings.
° explore how to bring what you have learned into your everyday life in a conscious and embodied way.
° introduce different practices that support the process (meditation, time in Nature, dancing, time with loved ones, journaling, ..).
